Joe Speicher is Autodesk’s first Chief Sustainability Officer, spearheading the company’s Impact Strategy to drive a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable future. With a unique blend of leadership and innovation, Joe ensures Autodesk delivers on its environmental commitments while guiding the integration of sustainability across product development, go-to-market strategies, and business operations. As chair of the ESG Steering Committee, he champions sustainability initiatives company-wide and provides strategic counsel to the Board of Directors on emerging sustainability risks and opportunities. Joe also serves as President of the Autodesk Foundation, where he advances the company’s philanthropic efforts to tackle global challenges.
Prior to Autodesk, Joe was a part of the founding team of Living Goods, a pioneering global health organization, and spent six years leading operations. His career began in banking and finance with Deutsche Bank and Cambridge Associates, before transitioning to international development work with the Peace Corps, the Economist Intelligence Unit, the World Bank, and Google.org. Joe holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from Columbia University.
Joe has been a member of the Long Now Foundation since 2014, and is humbled to support the organization and wider community of the Long Now as we transition to our next quarter of existence.
