As Outreach and Development Manager, Charlotte contributed to the growth of The Long Now Foundation by cultivating and fostering fund development opportunities to support its variety of programs. An experienced writer and editor, she also contributed regular content to the Long Now Blog and Quarterly newsletter, and helped out at the Seminars About Long-term Thinking.

A native of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Charlotte holds a PhD in psychological anthropology and has lived and worked in Morocco, Holland, and across the United States. She is fascinated by human responses to cultural change, and focused her doctoral research on the way socio-cultural transformations affect Moroccan women's lived experience and definitions of well-being. Charlotte is also a (bread) baker, a book maker, a cook, and a violinist.
