The Long Now Foundation is searching for its next Executive Director.

For nearly 30 years, Long Now has fostered long-term thinking in the framework of the next 10,000 years. As we look toward our next chapter, we're seeking a leader who can build on this strong foundation: deepening our programs, strengthening our financial future, and continuing to grow Long Now as a home for long-term thinkers and builders everywhere. The search is officially open. If this resonates, we encourage you to apply — or send it to someone who comes to mind.

In the meantime, Long Now is thrilled to welcome Josette Melchor as our Interim Executive Director.

Josette hits the ground running after bringing her exceptional expertise to several Long Now efforts over the past year. Her interdisciplinary background includes founding and directing Gray Area, the San Francisco-based nonprofit cultural incubator, leading Google's global placemaking team to create exceptional environments for over 5 million people annually, and serving as a board member for Burning Man. Please join us in welcoming her to Long Now.
